About Dyslexia East Sussex CIC
Dyslexia East Sussex CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to improving access to dyslexia support, assessment, and educational opportunities across East Sussex. Our mission is to reduce barriers for children, young people, and families who may otherwise struggle to access the help they need.
We provide workshops, information events, school projects, training, and advice to help schools and communities better understand and support dyslexic learners. Through fundraising, partnerships, and community initiatives, we also offer subsidised or free assessments and educational support for families experiencing financial hardship.
As a Community Interest Company, our support is focused on community benefit rather than private profit. Any surplus income is reinvested into our work, helping us reach more families, increase access to support, and reduce educational inequality.
What We Do
Train and support schools to create more inclusive learning environments.
Deliver workshops and information events for parents, educators, and the wider community.
Provide subsidised or free assessments and support for low-income and disadvantaged families.
Develop community projects that improve awareness, access, and outcomes for dyslexic learners.
